NOWY SĄCZ – A CITY OF MANY CULTURES AND RELIGIONS

Text 1
The Collegiate Basilica of St. Margaret is the center of religious life for Catholics, who have been the majority of Nowy Sącz’s residents since the beginning of its history. Inside the church, there is a miraculous painting of the Transfiguration of the Lord, to which the faithful make pilgrimages. The parish priests of the Nowy Sącz parish church were famous for interreligious dialogue (including Father Jan Machaczek and Mitred Father Władysław Lesiak).
